Hi, I'm Jeff Simons, a 23 year old aspiring Interaction Designer.

I'm a designer of interaction, focussing on making products/services and people connect. You can find me working on projects ranging from designing a pixel-perfect mobile app, doing on-site ethnographic research or devising a clever system to fight the rising cost of healthcare.

As an Interaction Designer I'm particulary interested in the where's and what's of a product's/service's use. Through combining a wide range of skills and a high sense of empathy I'm able to illustrate context/frame a project to make people like business analysts, computer engineers and visual designers understand their playground and create better products.

Next to all that serious design stuff, I enjoy making music, am a passionate cook and love travelling the world.

Current Endeavour

Next to being a freelance designer, I'm currently in the final stages of Communication & Multimedia Design, a bachelor degree course given at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Near future

As a final project for my bachelor degree starting May 2012 I will be doing an internship in the area of Interaction Design at Irish product design company Designpartners. More on this endeavour can be read on my tumblr.

Ambition

After finishing my studies of Communication and Multimedia Design I hope to become a graduate student at the Massaschussets Institute of Technology. The work and research projects that come from MIT have always had my deepest admiration. To partake in such amazing work is one of my biggest dreams, one that I'm confident to make come true.
